I saw this article and was reminded of the excellent PBS series, Race: The Power of An Illusion, which we have been viewing at work as part of a lunchtime discussion series. The third hour of this series, called The House We Live In, addresses government-sponsored inequalities in housing that still affect us today, even without the housing market slump.

I couldn’t find an excerpt from this series on YouTube, but I found this wonderful vintage (?!) film that addresses the issue from a different angle . . .
