I was under a great deal of conviction after hearing a message from John Piper  on Thursday night at the Children Desiring God conference . . . and I found myself asking what my life might look like if I loved God above all else . . . and yet, just  a few days later, I am scrutinizing my blog statistics in search of human approval . . . my idols are so huge . . . but thank God that He is bigger . . .

For all the gods of the peoples are worthless idols,
