I can't really articulate detailed thoughts at this moment... Got frustrated and saddened with reading some of the comments on the links you have...

But I will say this... Intentionally or not, the published book was offensive. Not only do I agree that Zondervan did the right thing, I also commend those who advocated for the change. Too many times people are offended and don't speak up... And too many times people speak up on behalf of people who "might" be offended.

Regardless of all the comments made by people on the various links, there seems to be real measures taken towards reconciliation, and I know that the more we work towards reconciliation, the more hatred will come out. Its bad for business when Satan observes Christians working towards unity, so its obvious to me that he will do all in his (limited by comparison to God's) power to have us continue down our divided journey.

But I know that God will use the good hearts and good intentions of those involved and those praying - He will triumph!

As one of the Asian Americans involved in the Deadly Viper/Zondervan, thank you. Zondervan's actions (as well as the authors' shutting down of their website) were courageous and a moment of hope that the voices of "others" can be heard for the good of all God's people.

I'm praying with you.
